These systems detect not only unsafe worker behavior—such as failure to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) or unauthorized access to restricted areas—but also hazardous situations like fire or the approach of heavy equipment, issuing alerts to prevent accidents.

  • AI Robot for Hazardous Work:
    Smart Patrol Robot

The Smart Patrol Robot, a quadruped robot used At SAMSUNG E&A sites, performs high-risk tasks in place of workers. Equipped with autonomous navigation and remote control functions, it patrols areas such as electrical rooms, UPS and battery rooms, and commissioning zones with high risk of pressure leaks or explosions. It also carries out hazardous tasks like measuring concentrations of harmful gases and fine dust.

  • Equipment for Safe Work at Heights:
    Smart Safety Harness

Workers at SAMSUNG E&A sites are required to wear the Smart Safety Harness when performing work at heights. The harness is equipped with a sensor on the hook that monitors the lanyard connection status in real time, helping prevent fall accidents.

    Smart Confined Space Monitoring

At SAMSUNG E&A sites, the Smart Confined Space Monitoring system uses IoT technology to measure oxygen levels and concentrations of harmful gases such as CO, O₂, H₂S, and CH₄ in confined spaces. It also detects hazardous conditions in real time, enabling prompt initial response to prevent asphyxiation accidents.
